Approach and maritime conditions: Anchorage just north of Kyrhaug lighthouse on Edøya.
Anchoring: There is a buoy there with uncertain "quality".
Otherwise, it is fine to anchor there.
Be aware of the submarine cable running out to the lighthouse!!
The area: Nice place if the wind comes from the right direction.
Some waves from passing ships in Trondheimsleia.

The pier belongs to the coastal association Geitbåtens venner.
Vipps number can be found on a poster in the boathouse.
The Maritime Museum has several buildings there, and tours can be arranged.
For sailboats, CAUTION CAUTION high voltage line runs just outside the quay.
Space for only one or two boats at the floating dock.

Approach and maritime conditions: The harbour is well sheltered in Lysøysundet.
The light at the entrance is clearly visible (Lysøysundet light).
Good depth, approximately 5 meters.
Mooring: Modern docks where one moors alongside.
The area: Very pleasant place, shop a few meters above the guest harbour.
Restaurant and fuel available.

Approach and maritime conditions: Hongsand is located south of Sørkråkøya.
The guest harbor is part of http://roansjocamping.no/
Mooring: Guest harbor with floating dock.
Exposed to northeasterly wind.
The area: Many nice trails / roads for walking.
West of the guest harbor is the store.
Nearby there are showers and more, combined with a small camping area.
Beautiful view of the sunset and a nice sandy beach.

Moholmen marina is situated in the center of Mo i Rana, right by the idyllic Moholmen.
It is just 30 NM up the fjord from Nesna. Strong currents can be experienced in the fjord; enter when the tide is rising and exit when it is falling, which will give you some extra knots :)
The harbor is well marked and easy to find.
The guest berths are somewhat exposed to winds from the west, but the association is helpful in finding a spot inside the breakwater if there are vacant spots available. Contact them; they are very helpful.
The service building is located nearby, excellent.
Price 2022, 150,- per day including electricity, water, ++
It can be a bit dusty in the harbor, as it is located right by a quay where really large ships load/unload.

Approach and maritime conditions: Calm harbor as long as it's not very windy from the north, northeast.
Well-marked approach.
Mooring: Alongside, floating dock
Area: If you have a bicycle, there is a lot of beautiful nature to see around.
Newly restored clubhouse / service building.

Entry and maritime conditions: Situated at the far east of Langøya, east of Kristiansund/Frei
Here you can navigate on the inside of Årsundøya up Langøysundet or on the outside directly into the bay (if coming from west).
From the east, you can go directly into the bay.
Anchoring: There is a white buoy that you can moor to, or you can anchor.
Mooring bolts on land.
The area: Nice and calm in winds from the west.
Can have some swell with eastern winds.
Buildings on the other side of Langøysundet.
Great to row ashore on the north side and see the sea and sunset from the rocks there.

Approach and maritime conditions: Located at the innermost part of Bøfjorden. Well sheltered from the wind.
Mooring: Shallow in the harbor, approximately 3 meters.
NOTE NOTE
However, the approach is approximately 1.7 meters at low tide.
Narrow for boats over 30-40 feet.
The area: Plenty of hiking opportunities in the area.
Café / restaurant nearby.

Approach and maritime conditions: The bay is located just north of Aure / the entrance to Torsetsundet.
Be aware of the height of the bridges in the area.
Anchoring: Anchor on a sand-clay bottom from "0" up to 15 meters depth.
Be especially cautious of an unmarked breaking reef just northeast of the iron stake. This is visible in aerial photos but not on nautical charts.
The area: Very scenic bay, completely sheltered from northern and eastern winds.
Little development around the bay.

Approach and maritime conditions: Located in the middle of Skålvikfjorden.

You can head south past Skålvikholmen and go on the west side of Bårsetøya if your draft is no deeper than max 2m, otherwise you have to go on the east side of Knudzonøya.
Mooring: Several floating docks, longside. Good depth - min 2-3 meters.
One dock with power, one without (or very long shore power cable).
The area: 2km hiking trail around the island.
Many nice play structures for children, great place for families with children.
Large 'grill cabin' on land with space for at least 10-15 people.

Approach and maritime conditions: The harbor is located on the east side of Smøla.
Approach either from the north or south.
Here, the waters are somewhat unclean but a paradise for sailing.
From Ramsøyfjord, you can enter by Reiråklakken light or slightly further north (marked channel on the chart).
Mooring: The guest berths are located on the outside of the pier, moor longside.
The area: Many nice hiking opportunities.
Further north is Veidholmen, which is also worth a visit.
If coming from the south and heading up the east side of Smøla, the inner route from Kulisvaet and north past Pintelen light / Lyngholman is recommended, if you prefer some buoys and markers.
Follow the chart and watch the depth.

Entry and maritime conditions: Enter just north of Skarvbergneset lighthouse.
Anchoring: 10-15 meters. Clay or sand bottom. Fastenings for mooring towards the land on the north side.
There is a small pier where you can go ashore from, but it is very shallow at low tide.
If you dock with your starboard side to the pier, there is a rock that can be critical. Maximum draft 2 meters.
If you have slightly large fenders (about 50 cm in diameter or more), you can safely dock here unless there are too many waves coming in.
There are some larger vessels entering and exiting the fjord that can create some waves, but it is unproblematic when you anchor.
The area: Several trails for children to go on 'explorations'.
Sheep graze on the island, so be cautious if you bring a dog.

Small floating dock but it is very easy to dock at the guest pier.
Be aware of the difference between high and low tide when mooring.
A 'plank' is good to have on board.

Decent place to dock except for the prices and the express boat.
Having to pay 99 NOK to take a shower is the most expensive I've seen between Stavanger and Tromsø!!
The shower costs 37 NOK for 10 minutes, which sounds fine.
But if you want access to it, you have to pay 62 NOK to get into the shower area.

Navigation and Maritime Conditions: The strait runs east-west on the inside of Årsundøya and Langøya.
Narrow strait, and generally quite shallow.
Anchoring: 4-17m

Approach and maritime conditions: Valen or Edøyvalen is located on the northwest side of Edøya, approximately 1.5 NM east of the Edøy Bridge (16m).
Anchoring: Here you can anchor at a depth of about 10 meters.
The area: If you want to be by yourself, it is nice here.

Approach and maritime conditions: From Kristiansund, about 10 nm inwards via Bremsnesfjorden, crossing Kvernesfjorden.
Just inside Ikornneset / Vorpneset.
Anchoring: Floating dock with space for a few boats.
Completely sheltered from winds from the west.
The area: Located right by Gjemnessundet about 10 NM south of Kristiansund/Frei.
Nice swimming area, and family-friendly (grills on land).
Used mostly for day trips by boaters and others who come by "land route" I suppose.
No water, electricity, fuel, or similar amenities.
