I would recommend using a good electronic nautical chart for the approach, as it is narrow in places and you need to watch out for submerged rocks. When sailing, you must strictly follow the fairway. The depth in the fairway is around 2.5 metres. You moor with the bow facing the jetty and using a stern anchor. The harbour is a very good place to take shelter during a storm at sea.
The place is very popular with Swedes from the local area, partly because of the restaurant next door (which serves excellent food). Next to the restaurant, you can buy smoked prawns and smoked fish.
Otherwise, Skagen is a very pretty, typical fishing village. The harbour master stands by the jetty and assigns you a berth. He’s very resourceful when it comes to fitting as many boats as possible onto the jetty.
Payment is by Swish or in cash. The person in charge of the harbour office lives in the house next to the jetty.
