Innseiling og maritime forhold: Alnes ligger nordvest på Godøya like vest for Ålesund. Enkel innseilig og god plass innenfor moloen. God dybde i hele havnen.
Fortøying: Fortøyning til flytebrygge. Det er litt begrenset med plass på gjestebryggen og med 4 båter rundt 40 fot er det fult langs kaien. Alternativet da er å ligge utenpå hverandre. Det er også mulig å ankre opp og ligge på svai inne i havnen.
Området: Innenfor moloen er det en liten sandstrand som er fin for både barn og voksne å bade fra. Ikke langt unna er det også en større strand men om været står på fra vest eller sørvest kan det bli nokså friskt på den stranden. Alnes er et koselig lite sted og det er mye fint turterreng i området. Stien opp på fjellet starter like ved gjestehavnen. Alnes fyr er også et fint landemerke og her ute er det kunstutstilling og en liten kafe.
