Belle baie protectrice bordée, au sud, par un magnifique massif montagneux.
De nombreuses roches frangeantes parsèment l’approche. Celle-ci est plus aisée en empruntant l’Hamborgersund. Attention à la grosse roche frangeante qui occupe la moitié sud-est de l’entrée du mouillage.
La baie offre deux possibilités de mouillage :
1. Entre l’îlot et la côte ouest, avec des aussières frappées à terre. On mouille par 12 mètres sur un fond de vase de bonne tenue.
2. Dans la deuxième partie de la baie, par 2,1 mètres d’eau (basse mer de vive-eau), sur un fond de vase parsemé de grosses algues offrant une bonne tenue.
Belle randonnée à terre, notamment vers les ruines d’Appamiut.
