The harbor has easy access. Unsettled during the day due to tourist traffic on the fjord. But this has improved in recent years, as most ferries have been replaced by electric catamarans.
Attractions; Stegastein is a viewing platform that extends 30 meters out from the mountain.
It is on the road over Aurlandsfjellet, about a 10-12 minute drive from Aurland (if the traffic is normal).
There is also a toilet here that has been voted the world's most beautiful, with a glass wall and a view of the sea.
A very popular hike; Aurlandsdalen, also ends here. By taking a bus up to Østerbø, it is possible to hike Aurlandsdalen down to Vassbygdi by Aurland.
