See Samsø Ballen harbour for a description of the harbour itself. But there is a great strip outside the harbour to anchor on a sandy bottom as elsewhere in Denmark. There is a depth of 2-3 meters and it is shallow. You are undeniably exposed to the wind here, but you lie well in stable westerly winds, though if the wind shifts too far to the NE or SW, you will quickly notice the area's short, choppy waves.
