The approach is marked, but be aware to keep a good distance from the first starboard beacon in the approach - it is shallow about three meters out from the beacon. Use nautical charts otherwise, there are some unmarked shallows in the area.

After the expansion in 2022, the mooring buoys have been removed. The sailing association now has four guest spots (two alongside, two in berths) at the D-pier (the fourth floating pier when you arrive by sea). There is water and electricity on the floating pier.

Great and very sheltered harbor with all facilities. Service building open 24/7 with toilets, showers, washing machine, and dryer. Bus stop nearby, it takes about an hour to get to Bergen city center, and 10 minutes on foot (or a few minutes by bus) to the Bunnpris store in Hjellestad.
