Descriptions and reviews

Marius Brøndbo says:

A small stop at Brasøy on the way north. Worn docks, but an easily accessible local store and diesel filling at the dock. We spent the time at Brasøy walking the Brasøy paths around Prestøya, recommended, a nice trip with suspension bridges that connect the trail together, and a fine lean-to at the lookout point which you can turn according to the sun and wind.

Nice little harbour. Small shop right by the pier, also access to a gym and a 'café'. Nice playground, and hiking trails around the island. QR codes on the trails provide local history/information. Good depth at the quay.

Very nice area. Quiet. Slightly worn docks but fine for mooring. Probably a bit exposed to north winds. Great area for a bike ride or walk. Power and water on the dock.

Small and cozy harbor with only a few guest spots on the north side of the floating dock. Local store, waste disposal, and diesel available on site. Very well protected from all but direct north wind.

Want to know how the wind score works? Then you should read this explanation.

The wind forecasts come from yr.no (Norwegian Meteorological Institute), and was last updated 2 hours and 3 minutes ago (Sunday 09 August 06:29 AM). The next night score shows you the worst hour between 22:00 and 08:00 the next night. We recommend that you check multiple sources for wind forecasts. windy.com is a good website to show larger wind systems.
