Innseiling og maritime forhold: Havna ligger på vestsida av Byrknesøyna i Gulen kommune i gamle Sogn og Fjordane fylke. Bred og fin innseiling, noe trafikk fra fiskefartøy.
Fortøying: Man fortøyer i båser ved den første flytebrygga til styrbord når man kommer inn i havna. Også mulig for litt mindre båter å legge seg longside på de to ytterste plassene på begge sider ettersom det ikke er utriggere helt ytterst. Ligger ganske godt beskyttet bak en stor steinmolo, men kan komme noe svell og bølger fra fiskefartøyer, store og små, som frekventerer havna.

Havneavgift er 50 kroner døgnet pluss 40 kroner for strøm. Betales med kontanter som legges i kasse ved landgangsrampe.
Området: Ganske øde område bortsett fra trafikken fra fiskefartøyene. Nærmeste "sivilisasjon" med butikk og slikt ligger cirka 2 kilometer fra havna, i selve Byrknes. Der er det også drivstoff.
