Innseiling og maritime forhold: Solumstrand er plassert i utkanten av gamle Drammen i veletablert boligområde.
Fjorden trafikkeres av større skip som normalt går inn og ut av fjorden langs øst,
Det er derfor greit å gå på vestsiden et par hundre meter fra land.
God dybde fra 50 meter fra land.
Det er 5 knops fartsbegrensing i Drammen kommune inntil 200 meter fra land,
i Svelviksundet er maks fart 8 knop.
Fortøying: Havna har stort sett faste plasser for foreningens medlemmer, men noen kan være ledige for kortere eller lengre opphold.
Det har ikke vært etablert fast ordning for døgnplasser, men havnesjef Ole Peder Bjørsom kan kontaktes på telefon 45411548.
Ved dybde over 1,80 må det avtales spesielt!
Døgnpris med landstrøm 200,- som Vippses til foreningen.
Båten fortøyes normalt med baug mot fast brygge og fortøyes akter mot påler på hver side av plassene.
Man passerer molo og går inn i havnen fra nordvest, det er god avstand til å manøvrere inn i havnen mellom pålene og som regel god le, med unntak av ved sterk vind fra nord.
Ingen merkbar strøm i havnen.
Det er og mulig å leie løft med sertifisert mobil kran og plass for vedlikehold og reparasjoner etter forutgående avtale.
Området: Seilforeningen er etablert utenfor et av kommunens renseanlegg, men dette er ikke til sjenanse.
Det er parkeringsmulighet på foreningens område.
Buss mot Svelvik og Drammen passerer langs Svelvikveien rett innenfor opplagsplassene.
Bademuligheter ved innseilingen til anlegget og utenfor molo ved rampe som benyttes til foreningens joller.
Det er ofte aktiviteter i sesong, fra Solum går det onsdagsregattaer for alle nivåer.
KIWI og REMA på Åskollen et kvarters gange opp i åsen.
