description
Fiskebäckskil is situated directly across Gulmarsfjorden from Lysekil, in a cove with an inlet from the north. The houses are closely packed in hilly terrain with narrow roads. At the bottom, you can find fishermen’s cottages from the herring fishing period, further up are houses from the shipping and bathing guest era with glass verandas in Swiss style, and at the top are holiday homes from the 1900s. At the northernmost point of the peninsula, there's also a hotel with a restaurant. The place is quite charming. A Swedish TV series was filmed here and in Grundsund, which is located on the same island.
The guest harbor is located further inside the cove along with the marina. Here, there is a workshop, parking space, and it’s not particularly idyllic. But it’s not far to walk to the residential area. The harbor is well protected from all wind directions, but strong north winds are noticeable. The harbor has all facilities. There is also a small café in the marina.

Want to know how the wind score works? Then you should read this explanation.
The wind forecasts come from yr.no (Norwegian Meteorological Institute), and was last updated 1 hour and 40 minutes ago (Thursday 12 December 08:27 AM). The next night score shows you the worst hour between 22:00 and 08:00 the next night. We recommend that you check multiple sources for wind forecasts. windy.com is a good website to show larger wind systems.
The safe wind directions for this harbour has been decided by an algorithm, based on how elevated the land around the harbour is. It's mostly correct, but sometimes the underlying data about elevation levels is not good enough to make correct decisions. It's a great help to other if you can validate or adjust the safe wind directions. You can see the data used by the algorithm to decide the safe wind directions by clicking here.
