Descriptions and reviews

description

A great area that is well-developed for boat tourists. There are bolts 'everywhere', and the possibility to dock either bow-in or alongside in several places. Rarely will you be alone here if the weather is nice, and many local smaller boats come by. But there is space for many. It can get a bit splashy when the wind comes from the south/southwest, but not problematic.

Well-developed area with docks with space for some boats, benches, an outhouse, and a garbage shed. There are also swimming ladders and fire pits in several places. This year (2024), there were goats on Vestre Flateskjær, which we found amusing but some dog walkers got a surprise even though it is well-signed. Fantastic view over the sea when you sit on top. Highly recommended.

Neste Sommer says:

description

Entrance and maritime conditions: Simple entrance from the north. Clear waters down to the blue buoy - but watch out for the 0.7-meter depth southwest of it. Mostly bolted into the rock where there is depth towards the land. When the wind blows from the southwest, you can find protection on the north side of the eastern flat reef where there are also good bolts in the rock, but be aware of the current which can sometimes be quite strong here.
Anchoring: Blue buoy from Oslofjordens Friluftsråd at the southernmost point in the strait. Mainly mooring to bolts in the rock but also some dock spaces. Mostly stern anchor and bow towards land are used, but there are a couple of suitable alongside berths.
The area: Popular place for both overnight stays and day trips. Nice little island to explore. Trash cans and camping tables by the dock at the eastern flat reef.
