Å ankre utenfor Fugløya er lovlig, men dette er ikke et ankringssted for nybegynnere.

Skonnerten IDEAL som ligger fortøyd inne i bukten trenger armslag for å manøvrere, og du må ikke ankre/svaie i innseilingsleden.

Kaiene er private og kan ikke benyttes til fortøying. Det er begrensinger på ilandstiging (forbudt i sommerhalvåret).

Dette er altså ikke en destinasjon i seg selv, men heller en godværsplass om du er på vei forbi og trenger en stopp.

Bolvågen som ligger rett innenfor er et bedre alternativ.

Old bottom chains across the bay cause anchors to get stuck. Not a good anchorage inside the bay. Nature reserve with a prohibition on landing and a travel ban from May 1 to August 1.
Leash requirement for dogs all year round as there are Old Norwegian Sheep on the island to improve conditions for ground-nesting seabirds. The sheep are owned by Friends of Fugløya.
