Large bay well-protected from southern winds and their swell.
Anchorage possible at depths of 6 to 10 meters, on a hard mud substrate scattered with large algae. At the beginning of the season, the anchorage may be exposed to drifting ice, and for the rest of the summer, to that coming from the glaciers.
Landing is done on a beach of sand and small pebbles. On land, there are ruins of several old whaling stations.
