Gjestehavnen ligger på utsiden av flytebryggene med leden på utsiden. Det blir litt sjø fra paserende båter, men det roer seg om kvelden. Ved sydlig sterk vind blir det ubehaglig mye sjø. Det er fire bøyer å fortøye i ellers ligger man langsmed. Det er strøm og vann på brygga. Ingen toalett.

På land er det et bilfritt lite tettsted med smale stier. Det har historie tilbake til sildefiskeperioden på 1700- tallet, seilskuteperioden på 1800-tallet og badegjestperioden på 1900-tallet. I dag er det ingen fastboende, men de gamle husene blir brukt til sommerhus. Det er en kiosk i bebyggelsen hvor de selger is, kaffe, pølser og vafler. Ellers ingen komersiell virksomhet.

Opp fra havnen kan man følge en merket sti over beitemark og svaberg til badeviken på nordsiden av øya. Her er en langgrunn strand.
