Haparanda is well known for the fact that many sailors leave their club pennants here as a memento. Contrary to the (automatically generated) information from the admin: You can only moor alongside here. Apart from its history, it’s not a harbour you absolutely have to visit. There are bicycles available to get to the nearest town. The toilet facilities are very basic. I’ve seen facilities this poor in Sweden, especially for the price. The harbour fee is (2026) 200 SEK. There is no water at the jetty. If you’re moored at the far end of the jetty, you’ll need a very, very long cable to get electricity. Payment can be made via Swish, in cash or using the credit card reader located in the clubhouse.

It is also worth noting that this harbour is 16 km from Haparanda (the town).
