description
Easy approach from the west, also for boats with deeper drafts. The inner harbor can become shallow, but there are no difficult reefs. The approach from the east, on the other hand, is very shallow and can only be used by small boats with a shallow draft. The area is situated deep within the Isefjærfjord and is very well protected from external seas.
The approach to Isefjærfjord is, however, a bit of a distance. Boats without masts can enter from Røynevardsfjord in Blindleia, through the Kassen Canal, and continue to Isefjærfjord. Taller boats or boats with masts must take the route around via Bliksfjord. In this approach, there are some reefs to watch out for, but even boats with deep drafts can enter. Note, however, that the Naudesund Bridge has a height clearance of 12 meters, so boats with masts taller than this cannot enter.
