Hjartøyvågen med utsikt til De Syv Søstre
Hjartøyvågen Herøy: Stemningsbilde fra en vakker sommerdag på Hjartøya.
Hjartøya ligger idyllisk til på Helgelandskysten like ved Sandnessjøen. Her har du tilgang til et trygt og fint flytekai, samt kjempegode muligheter for grilling i fjæra. I Hjartøyvågen er det også gode muligheter for ankring av større fartøy som ikke får plass ved flytekaiet. I sommersesongen kan man hilse på sauene som farter rundt på øya, og samtidig oppleve vakker utsikt mot Sandnessjøen og de Syv Søstre. På bildet ser man flytekaiet ved Hjartøya og den fine naturen rundt. Til venstre ser man et glimt av de Syv Søstre. Bildet er tatt 21. mai 2020.

Innseiling og maritime forhold: Naturhavn.
Gode ankringsforhold. Godt hold på leirbunn, 10 - 18m.
Vær oppmerksom på at fortøyning for flytebryggen NØ i havna som strekker tvers over sundet.
Ankring: Midt inne i Hjartøyvågen er det en øyebolt man kan legge seg til. Ellers er sjøbunnen stort sett sand og stein. Dybde er alt fra 3 meter til 30 meter.
Området: Utover vakker natur er det ikke noe spesielt man kan sette fingeren på, annet enn gamle ruiner fra gårder.
På land står det et skilt som beskriver øyas historie fra gammelt av, hvor man får høre om gammel gårdsdrift på Hjartøya.
Det er graver fra bronsealderen på Hjartøya, som er skiltet. Fra midt i vågen er det flott utsikt til de Syv Søstre i øst, og til Dønna i vest.
