Innseiling og maritime forhold: Kommunal (Asker kommune) gjestehavn helt ytterst i Drammensfjorden.
Betalingsautomat.
Rett utenfor Holmsbu ligger Holmsbusteinene, derfra og inn er det lagt igjen mye bunnstoff og propellblader opp gjennom årene, man passerer derfor utenfor for grønn bøye midt i fjorden.
Enkelt servicebygg med dusj og toalett med en gang man får satt føttene på land, der er det og en grillplass.

Fortøying: Det er primært flytebrygger der man fortrinnsvis fortøyer ved utriggere på innsiden av bølgebryteren og langs adkomsten til land.
Til tider kraftige bølger fra passerende skip til Drammen Havn utenfor, men fint å fortøye longside der for kortere besøk.
Ganske dypt med unntak av de par innerste plassene, noe vind når det blåser friskt inn Oslofjorden, men lite plagsomt så snart man har fortøyd.
Det er og ofte noe strøm i vannet, så greit å være litt årvåken om man skal snu og bakke på plass.
Området: Kjempekoselig sted med sørlandspreg, to hoteller i drift pr sommersesongen 2021 i umiddelbar nærhet, ellers tre serveringssteder der særlig det eldste, Privaten, kan høres kveldstid.
Det er ofte høy stemning på noen av båtene som besøker stedet i helgene, men man kan være heldig å oppleve ordensvakter som sørger for litt nattero.
Om man går rundt havnen mot Holmsbu Badehotell er det en liten strand på nedsiden av dette for de minste.
Det kan da være de vil stoppe i en av to iskiosker langs havna.
Holmsbu Handel har åpent alle dager og har morgenkaffe og ferske bakevarer samt en del annet hytte- og båtfolk spør etter.
Det går buss fra Drammen til Tofte og Sætre fra havnen.
Ellers fint å ta jolla til en av strendene rundt om man skal bli litt.
