description
There are two approaches to Huö, the west which is completely open and simple, and the north which is shallower and probably not equally suitable for everyone. There is a small 'crack' to the east that works for a dinghy if you're heading into Hunnebostrand (note! There's a big rock on the southern side of this small channel which should be avoided (learned by experience)).
If you're anchoring, there's excellent holding in clay at 10-14m depth and there's plenty of space for many boats.
For northern and southern winds, there are many mooring points on the rock faces. For eastern winds, you can use the stone blocks as mooring points, but be careful, they can chafe the ropes quite a bit.
You will find shelter from all winds except western here. We ourselves stayed in eastern winds (NE - SE) with gusts up to 25 knots and it was absolutely fine.
There are outhouses and a garbage shed on Ytre Huö.

Want to know how the wind score works? Then you should read this explanation.
The wind forecasts come from yr.no (Norwegian Meteorological Institute), and was last updated 2 hours and 8 minutes ago (Saturday 02 August 09:28 AM). The next night score shows you the worst hour between 22:00 and 08:00 the next night. We recommend that you check multiple sources for wind forecasts. windy.com is a good website to show larger wind systems.
