description
Skerry with a light just before the entrance, otherwise fine.
Kalak is a former traffic harbor. Before Nordkyn got road connections, car ferries used to depart from here. Ferry pier 50m with a depth of approximately 5-7m. The south side of this pier is a public pier.
The north side of the pier, inside the nook, is leased by the fish farming company Salmar AS. The floating dock is private and owned by Salmar. The same applies to the power bollard on the pier.
Kalak is a good harbor. When there is a southwest gale, the harbor is exposed to gusty winds.

Want to know how the wind score works? Then you should read this explanation.
The wind forecasts come from yr.no (Norwegian Meteorological Institute), and was last updated 2 hours and 13 minutes ago (Tuesday 06 May 04:28 PM). The next night score shows you the worst hour between 22:00 and 08:00 the next night. We recommend that you check multiple sources for wind forecasts. windy.com is a good website to show larger wind systems.

Kalak is surrounded by high hills or mountains. When strong winds come from the mountainous side there is a risk of turbulent or katabatic winds (also called "fall winds"), which may be rather unpleasant. In such conditions, you should not rely on the wind protection score for the coming night. Click to edit.
The visits are retrieved from AIS data. You can click to see all visiting ships to Kalak, as well as statistics about the ships that visits
