Kalvön Fiskehamn is a great base to discover Trossö-Kalvö-Lindö. The three islands are connected by a 5km simple road, passing by several villages and herds of Scottish Highland Cattle. The houses and gardens are extremely well kept and I highly reccomend exploring the islands.

The harbour is very small and shallow. You moor alongside the pier and it's room for a few boats to moor on each other. The harbour area looks large, but most of it is very shallow. You'll find a dry toilet and waste bins, but nothing else here.

If there is no room in the harbour, try the large anchorage area just outside the harbour entrance.

Nordvest for Havstensund ligger Kalvön. Her ligger en liten, gammel fiskehavn på vestsiden ut mot havet. Den ligger litt bort fra leden og ikke mange besøker den. Det er heller ikke plass til mer enn 10 båter. Men dette er en godt skjult idyll!

Brygga er en gammel trebrygge på stolper og det ligger gamle sjøhus rundt. Det minner om en nordnorsk fiskehavn. Det går en sti opp til midten av øya. Der åpenbarer det seg en klynge med rundt 20 gamle, vakre hus. Dette er et gammelt fiskersamfunn som er godt bevart. Det er ingen fastboende lenger, men husene blir brukt som sommerhus og eierne har rehabilitert og tatt vare på de gamle husene.

Kalvön er en av tre øyer som har vokst sammen. På 1930-tallet ble det laget en 5 km. lang gressbelagt vei over øyene. Planen var å lage bro over, men den ble aldri laget og det er ingen biler her. Øyboerne holder likevel veien ved like og den er ideell for joggeturer.

Havnen er godt beskyttet mot sjø, men det blåser godt her når sørvesten står på. I havnen finnes bare en dass. Det er ikke vann eller strøm og heller ingenting å bruke penger på. Her er bare sjarm og idyll.
