Käringöns Gästhamn: The guest berths at Käringön are located outside the main harbour, on the west side. There is one large floating dock with stern bouys and two smaller floating docks inside with longside mooring.

Käringöns Gästhamn: The rescue boats are located at the entrance of the port. They are on active duty and often out at sea.

Käringön is an idyllic little island. A lot of small houses, no cars in the "streets", great places for kids to play and nice restaurants for late evenings.

Jeg var på Käringön første gang i 1985. Vi kom i regnvær og la til i kilen som da var den eneste havna. Vi fant en utrolig sjarmerende fiskehavn. Vi gikk en tur inn over øya og oppdaget en idyll av gamle små hus. Etterhvert kom vi til kirken og prestegården. I prestegården var en enkel kafé hvor en ung jente serverte kaker og kaffe.

I dag er Käringön en av de mest populære havnene. Det er bygget en stor gjestehavn med flytebrygger utenfor den gamle fiskehavna. Bohusläns mest kjente restaurant, Petersons Krog kjent fra TV-programmet Tinas Kjøkken, er bygget her, et hotell har vokst opp og flere leiligheter. Den gamle prestegården er fortsatt serveringssted, men nå en bedre restaurant. Den gamle stilen er beholdt, og den er absolutt verdt et besøk. I havneområdet er det flere små kaféer og en kiosk samt minigolfbane og en motebutikk.

Käringön er fortsatt en av de største perlene i Bohuslän, men har tapt litt av sjarmen på kommersialiseringen.

Den beste havnen er i den gamle kilen, men her blir det først fult. Flytebryggene utenfor er i le for sydvesten, men er utsatt for nordavind og i sterk nordavind kan det være ubehagelig å ligge der. Bohusläns flotteste servicebygg med rene, flislagte toaletter og dusjer samt vaskemaskiner finnes på andre siden av kilen. Dagligvareforretning og fiskebutikk finnes også i havnen. Strøm og vann på brygga. Drivstoff finnes ikke.

Det finnes en badeplass litt øst for havnen. På andre siden av øya er det også en badeplass på svabergene.
