We attempted to find shelter in this small harbor for our 40 ft sailboat as it was marked as green on norskhavneguide.no after dark on Sunday evening 25/08-24. There was strong wind and current inside the harbor. After an attempt to get close to the quay, we decided to leave as quickly as possible. With extensive use of the thruster, we backed out of the harbor without damage. We believe this harbor should only be used in very, very good weather.

Easy entry, but be aware of the strong current in Skatestraumen when entering. Conrete jetty is no longer used, after underwater tunnel was build.

There is a path from here to the top of Hornelen. Estimated time 4 hours. distance 14,3 km. Totaly 1520 hight meters. The path starts a little bit south of harbour.
