Decent harbor, large. The fact that there is a motorhome camp with 15 motorhomes in addition to boats makes it completely impossible to wash clothes. Only one washing machine, far too little capacity. Three showers, nice.

Be aware that Kristiansund is an active harbor with commercial traffic, and it is important to stay vigilant and yield as a recreational boat. At the north end of the guest dock, there are berthing facilities for the Gripruta and Sundbåten. Sundbåten is public transportation between the various 'lands' in Kristiansund, with frequent stops throughout most of the day. This guest marina experiences some waves from the boats operating in the harbor and can also experience waves during easterly winds. If you seek better protection, you can move further into the harbor (northward), where you will find the large guest marina of the Småbåtlaget.
