Innseiling og maritime forhold: Gjestehavna ligger flott plassert midt i indre havn i Kristiansund, med en enkel og godt merket innseiling. Vær oppmerksom på at Kristiansund er en aktiv havn med kommersiell trafikk, og det er viktig å følge godt med og vike unna som fritidsbåt. I nordenden av gjestebrygga har Gripruta og Sundbåten anløpskai. Sundbåten er offentlig kommunikasjon mellom de ulike «landene» i Kristiansund, og den har hyppige anløp store deler av døgnet. Denne gjestehavna får en del sjø fra båtene som går i havna, og kan også få sjø på østavind. Ønsker du bedre beskyttelse går du litt lenger inn (nordover) i havna, hvor du finner den store gjestehavna til Småbåtlaget.
Fortøying: Fortøying longside på flytebrygge.
Området: Gjestehavna ligger midt i sentrum av Kristiansund, med kort avstand til butikker og restauranter.
