Innseiling og maritime forhold: God hamn ved innløpet til Sognefjorden som ligg i le for vær og vind med djupne til seglbåtar og evt større båtar (ny gjestekai 2022).
Fortøying: Gjesteplasser ved 2 flytebrygger eller inntil kai. Betaling appen GoMarina eller på hotellet.
Området: Ligg ved Hotell Sognefjord og mindre butikksenter med daglegvarebutikk,frisør, blomster, kontor for bedrifter etc. Diesel og bensin påfylling for store og små båtar er ca 500 m frå brygga. Flott badestrand med nytt servicebygg/WC/dusj ca 800 frå båthamna (ny gangveg). Ny flott frisbee golfbane (gratis) på Haukås ca 1 km opp mot Handal frå båthamna. Turløyper (rundturar) til fjelltoppar, grillhytte (skogsvegens panorama), utsiktspunkt etc. Kan leige syklar, elsyklar, vannscootarar på hotellet. Ca 8 km frå Leirvik ligg Hyllestad kvernsteinspark, der kan guidast eller vandre rundt og sjå restar av storstilt kvernsteinsproduksjon tilbake til vikingtid som vart eksportert/skipa rundt i Norge og til Europa.
