description
The entrance to the harbour is very narrow and can be a challenge in westerly winds. There are two jetties for visitors in the harbour. The first jetty has no electricity. The second jetty has electricity and water. On the west side of the second jetty, you moor with a stern buoy. On the east side, you can moor alongside.
The kitchen is where the toilets and showers are.
The harbour fee is paid at the kiosk/restaurant right by the harbour (18 euros in 2026, including electricity).
When there is a westerly wind, the swell reaches right into the harbour.
Otherwise, there isn’t much to see here. The lighthouse has very limited opening hours and can only be visited with a guide. At midday from 10 am to 12 noon and, on certain days (depending on the season), also from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Want to know how the wind score works? Then you should read this explanation.
The wind forecasts come from yr.no (Norwegian Meteorological Institute), and was last updated 2 hours and 52 minutes ago (Sunday 12 July 07:28 AM). The next night score shows you the worst hour between 22:00 and 08:00 the next night. We recommend that you check multiple sources for wind forecasts. windy.com is a good website to show larger wind systems.
The safe wind directions for this harbour has been decided by an algorithm, based on how elevated the land around the harbour is. It's mostly correct, but sometimes the underlying data about elevation levels is not good enough to make correct decisions. It's a great help to other if you can validate or adjust the safe wind directions. You can see the data used by the algorithm to decide the safe wind directions by clicking here.
