Modalen Båthavn: Gjestebrygga har utriggere på innsiden. Det kan komme litt skvalp og bølger fra turistbåtene som kommer noen ganger for dagen. De er flinke til å sakke ned et godt stykke ute i fjorden, men det følger likevel med noen dønninger. Fendre godt så går det fint. Roligere på innsiden.

For å komme inn til Modalen må man kjøre gjennom Mostraumen. Det er smalt og 3 meter på grunneste. Mye strøm. Men verdt turen.

Innseiling og maritime forhold: Seilbåter kan ikke ligge innert mot trekaien alle steder. Innseilingen til Modalen er spektakulær opp Mostraumen som kan gå stri, og denne kan virke litt skummel. Men det er gost merket og god dybde mitt i løpet.
Fortøying: En fortøyer longside langs faste trekaier eller i båser en flytebrygge (eventuelt longside på utsiden av denne).
Området: Koselige butikker, kafeer og flere turforslag i området. Fins sandstrand like ved gjestehavnen.
