NOTE: The quay is owned by the owner of MB Arnefjord, who is based here. It would be a good idea to check with him about staying here. It was okay for us to stay a couple of days, but a regular ferry also arrives here.

Easy access. The quay is the old steamship quay, and you can dock here for free. Very friendly local residents who welcome sailors. There is also a community for boat restoration, and a beautifully restored old trading boat is often seen.

In 1811, a large landslide occurred here. Many of the houses on Nese were taken by the landslide and moved 600-700 meters downwards. 45 people died, out of about 60 people who lived here.
In the landslide cottage about 300 meters up from the quay, there is a "museum" where you can read and see more about this natural disaster.
