Nice harbour with great dock facilities, which unfortunately are in the process of being dismantled. The gangway was on the dock, so we rowed ashore in the dinghy. The guest dock will now be at Arnøy Brygge in the northern harbour. We walked by there on the way to the fort to see it and concluded that it looked too small and shallow for a 40-foot sailboat with a 2-meter draft. We certainly didn't take the chance. It's a real shame that the dock in the southern harbour is being discontinued. Beautiful walk to the Fort where cannons and most of it are intact and maintained. Great to see.
Arnøy Brygge was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so there was no food or drink.

Nice to take a walk to the German installations from the war. There are still cannons here and one can enter the command post. At the top of the command post you have a view over the Saltenfjord, north towards Landego and Steigen, and out towards Lofoten. You can continue from there around the entire island. Very special geology towards the north. The trip is recommended. A sand beach has also been made a bit beyond the dock.

Very easy approach. Some shallow areas on the east side of the pier. Sailboats should moor on the west side. Short distance to the pier at Nordarnøya.
