description
Safe and simple place to anchor between 3 and 10 meters in sand/mud. Have anchored here in strong winds 15-20 m/s or around 40 knots, with gusts up to 25 m/s or 50 knots. But during daytime there are many waves from passing traffic from ferries and passenger boats. But a short distance to Denarau harbor. Often charge dinghy fee of 15 Fiji$ per hour, but not always required. Good selection of tourist-focused shops. But bus only to Nadi. 15-20 minutes. Costs 1.65 Fiji$ if you have a bus card. Contact 2 if they accept it. If choosing a channel on the port side just before the harbor, you will find a nice large supermarket up the river. Under the bridge and up to a ramp. Only a few hundred meters. Can also roll shopping carts all the way to the dinghy. Large good selection of both beer and wine +++ everything else you need.

Want to know how the wind score works? Then you should read this explanation.
The wind forecasts come from yr.no (Norwegian Meteorological Institute), and was last updated 13 timer siden (Friday 30 October 09:21 PM). The next night score shows you the worst hour between 22:00 and 08:00 the next night. We recommend that you check multiple sources for wind forecasts. windy.com is a good website to show larger wind systems.
The safe wind directions for this harbour has been decided by an algorithm, based on how elevated the land around the harbour is. It's mostly correct, but sometimes the underlying data about elevation levels is not good enough to make correct decisions. It's a great help to other if you can validate or adjust the safe wind directions. You can see the data used by the algorithm to decide the safe wind directions by clicking here.
