description
A great starting point for a somewhat challenging, but very beautiful trip to Risnesnipa. We departed from Risnes. There is a trail sign by a white house about 100 meters from the quay. The trail ascends diagonally through the forest. A bit damp after several weeks of wet West Coast summer. Well marked with red. We met a trail from Hovland after about 2 km. Sherpa steps on parts of the way after this. At Hovlandsseter, we turned left and followed the yellow/red trail to the top. At Risnesnipa, there is a magnificent view over the Sognefjord. We followed the road back down to Hovland. This route is also well marked, a bit steeper and drier. 1.7 km to walk on the road to the harbor again. Approximately 10 km in total.

Access through Listraumen or Risnesstraumen. Risnesstraumen can be quite fierce, it is also shallow and watch out for an overhead cable with a height of 12 m.
Recommended access is Listraumen.
Moor to a solid concrete quay with deck fender.
Risnes is a good starting point for a trip to Lihesten.
The first commercial airplane accident in Norway was also here. 7 people perished.
