Innseiling og maritime forhold: Enkel innseiling. Gjørmebunn gir ingen skader ved grunnstøting. Man kan seile inn på begge sider av holmen.
Ankring: Naturhavnen har gjørmebunn som gir godt feste. Det er øyebolter og muligheter til å ligge mot land flere steder mot Saraholmen. Det er ikke mange bølger som når inn dit. Det er god beskyttelse mot solgansbris og vind. Har man jolle kjører man raskt inn til Sandvika for å handle. Man har solen lenge og vannet er varmt.
Området: Det er litt utfordring å gå iland på Borøya. Det er derimot mulig å gå tur der. Hvis man legger båten langt vest får man solen lenge.
