Innseiling og maritime forhold: Havnen ligger nesten lengst inne i Frognerkilen i Oslofjorden. Veldig nær sentrum med offentlig kommunikasjon lett tilgjengelig på andre siden av motorveien. I umiddelbar nærhet har man utested som er populært om sommeren, og en spasertur unna er Aker Brygge og Oslo sentrum. Foreløpig har Skarpsno Baatforening ingen muligheter for gjestehavn. Enkel innseiling, kan være mye trafikk i perioder. Vær spesielt aktsom for de beige båtene som driver passasjertrafikk mellom Bygdøy og sentrum, de kjører raskt og viker aldri. Rett i nærheten ligger Color Lines terminal, men det gir bare bølger i innseilingen. Seilbåter kan gå et godt stykke inn i anlegget, men antageligvis ikke helt til de innerste plassene.
Fortøying: Privat båtforening med reserverte plasser, foreløpig ikke mulig å være gjest i havnen. Anlegget består av flere flytebrygger med største lengde 40 fot.
Området: Alle mulige severdigheter er i området, Oslo sentrum er i gangavstand og Bygdø med Vikingskipmuseet, Fram-museet, Sjøfartsmuseet er alle attraktive. De to siste ser man på babord side under innseilingen. I Oslo sentrum finnes et stort antall gode steder for mat og drikke. Muligheter for spaserturer på Bygdøy, hvor det også er gode strender.
