The newly built small harbour is no longer available for guest boats. When we visited in October, one side was filled with several rows of Fast Ribs for fjord safaris, while the other side was completely occupied by permanent moorings (small boats).

We were only able to moor in front of the terrace of the closed Bryggjehuset restaurant. The design of the multi-angled jetty with mini bollards suggests that only small boats are expected to make short stops here. There is no infrastructure here.

It is a nice, but touristy town. The floating dock costs 300 NOK for one night or 150 NOK for 3 hours. It is located away from the town and has no facilities, not even electricity/water.

Harbour at the end of Sognefjord. Well protected against wind. Nice little willage, grocery shop and Hotel.

This village are close to the higest mountain area in Norway; Jotunheimen.

Pilosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein, born in Austria lived in a cottage close to a small lake from 1913 and until 1st WW. The cottage is restored and is possible to wisit not far from harbour
