description
Entry to Mesolonghi is by a three kilometer canad channel that is well marked, but even though it is well marked, there are some shallow muddy areas on the east bank and it is easy enough to run aground onto soft mud. When you get into the inner harbor you have a choice between the marina or the harbor wall. The marina, I believe, is well serviced with water and electricity. The harbor wall does not have electric points. And there is just one water point that everybody has to use. Fuel is delivered in a tanker by order. There are four restaurants, very close to the harbor area. It is a walk of about half a kilometer to a kilometer to the centre of the town. There is a Lord Byron Museum, an archeological museum, and also a salt museum within walking distance of the harbor. There is a chandlery in the marina. The cost of birthing is cheap and the restaurants are also very good value. When we were there in May, most of the boats were moored side on to the harbor wall. I understand in the harbor they are trying to discourage people from anchoring in the middle.

Do you know this harbour? It's a huge help to other sailors if you add a short description or review of the harbour.

Want to know how the wind score works? Then you should read this explanation.
The wind forecasts come from yr.no (Norwegian Meteorological Institute), and was last updated 2 hours and 25 minutes ago (Monday 22 June 09:13 AM). The next night score shows you the worst hour between 22:00 and 08:00 the next night. We recommend that you check multiple sources for wind forecasts. windy.com is a good website to show larger wind systems.
