Good anchoring conditions, approximately 5 meters depth at the innermost part of the inlet, sandy bottom. Here you are surrounded by forests and high mountains, be aware of downdrafts where direction and strength can vary significantly from the weather forecast.

It is nicer (smooth rocks and pine trees) outside the innermost inlet. There are many bolts here.

About an hour with a dinghy if you want to go around the whole of Lysøen. Approximately 3 nautical miles round trip to the store at Buena Kai.

NOTE. Bergen and Omland Friluftsråd’s mooring buoy has been removed.

Anchorage: One can moor with a stern anchor towards land, or one can anchor up. Good sandy bottom.
The Area: The entire Lysøya has well-maintained trails around the whole island. There are benches provided where one has a view over Krossfjorden. Ole Bull's summer villa is located here, it is normally open for visits and concerts during the summer season. In the summer of 2021 and 2022, it is closed for renovation. There is a quay and a floating dock on the other side of the island, near the Ole Bull Villa. The floating dock is 12m and can be used for mooring until 22:00. The quay is used by the scheduled boat and residents of the island; any mooring to it must be agreed upon in advance.
