Approach and maritime conditions: Good anchorage bottom but relatively shallow. Some waves from traffic across the fjord but otherwise a nice and sheltered overnight spot on the way in or out of the fjord. Since Bastøy is an (open) prison island, it might not be advisable to go ashore.
