Kalvön Fiskehamn is a great base to discover Trossö-Kalvö-Lindö. The three islands are connected by a 5km simple road, passing by several villages and herds of Scottish Highland Cattle. The houses and gardens are extremely well kept and I highly reccomend exploring the islands.
The harbour is very small and shallow. You moor alongside the pier and it's room for a few boats to moor on each other. The harbour area looks large, but most of it is very shallow. You'll find a dry toilet and waste bins, but nothing else here.
If there is no room in the harbour, try the large anchorage area just outside the harbour entrance.

description
Northwest of Havstensund lies Kalvön. Here lies a small, old fishing harbor on the west side facing the sea. It is a bit off the main route and not many visit it. There is also only space for 10 boats. But this is a well-hidden idyll!
The pier is an old wooden pier on stilts, and old boathouses are scattered around. It resembles a Northern Norwegian fishing harbor. A path leads up to the center of the island. There, a cluster of around 20 old, beautiful houses is revealed. This is an old fishing community that is well preserved. There are no permanent residents anymore, but the houses are used as summer homes and the owners have rehabilitated and taken care of the old houses.
Kalvön is one of three islands that have grown together. In the 1930s, a 5 km long grass-covered road was made across the islands. The plan was to build a bridge, but it was never constructed and there are no cars here. The islanders still maintain the road, and it is ideal for jogging.
The harbor is well protected from the sea, but it gets quite windy when the southwesterly winds blow. In the harbor, there is only an outhouse. There is no water or electricity, and nothing to spend money on. Here, there is only charm and idyll.

Want to know how the wind score works? Then you should read this explanation.
The wind forecasts come from yr.no (Norwegian Meteorological Institute), and was last updated 1 hour and 32 minutes ago (Wednesday 30 April 03:27 PM). The next night score shows you the worst hour between 22:00 and 08:00 the next night. We recommend that you check multiple sources for wind forecasts. windy.com is a good website to show larger wind systems.
The safe wind directions for this harbour has been decided by an algorithm, based on how elevated the land around the harbour is. It's mostly correct, but sometimes the underlying data about elevation levels is not good enough to make correct decisions. It's a great help to other if you can validate or adjust the safe wind directions. You can see the data used by the algorithm to decide the safe wind directions by clicking here.
