Inside the Fishing Harbor, moor with mooring lines attached to the dock. Do not use your own anchor inside the Fishing Harbor itself. In the part of the harbor situated directly below the old lighthouse, use your own anchor and bow line to the dock. New for the 2024 season is a top-notch sanitary facility with toilets, showers, handicapped-accessible toilets, changing rooms, and family showers, as well as a washing machine and dryer that can be used at no extra cost when the harbor fee is paid. Before the 2024 season, Sotenäs Municipality changed the calculation of the harbor fee to a "square meter price" based on the boat's length and width. The most expensive period is during weeks 28 to 30.

Malmön is a holiday island a bit south of Smögen, but there are also many permanent residents there. There is a free car ferry to the island, but it has little car traffic. There are two guest harbors: One is located in the old harbor in a well-protected inlet. Nothing much happens here, but it is a short distance to swimming spots and beaches just south of the harbor. The other is a private marina a little further north. Here, there are a couple of restaurants and a grocery store.

The place is quite pleasant. There are detached houses with gardens and almost a neighborhood of holiday homes by the marina. There is an 18-hole mini-golf course with some original courses between the two guest harbors.

The place's strongest feature is the swimming spots south of the old harbor. There is a small beach and smooth rocks right by the harbor, but a few hundred meters further south there is a great beach with a swimming pier. Swimming lessons are also offered here.

The old harbor is well protected from all winds. The newer marina has floating docks further out. It's also safe to anchor here, but it can get a bit swell with northeasterly winds. At the marina, there is water and electricity on the dock and a somewhat worn service facility with toilets and showers.
