Nice quiet harbor, nice people. Supposedly 100 berths, but only one toilet and two showers, which could be cleaned more often. Limited shopping facilities in the village at the gas station. You can get bread rolls at the marina. Some swell from the nearby passing ferries and cruise ships; you are gently rocked to sleep. Okay for one day.

When you arrive in Furusund by boat, you dock in the heart of one of the most traditional archipelago towns. This has been a popular destination since the turn of the last century and has frequently appeared in art and music for more than a hundred years. In Strindberg's short story collection Fagervik och Skamsund, Fagervik stood for Furusund, and Evert Taube referred to the location in his Vals i Furusund.
