Approach and maritime conditions: SW of Furuholmen there is a pier. Good sun conditions and two fine beaches. Nice lawn for play and fun between the beach on the north side and the beach on the south side. There is an outhouse on the island and a nice fire/grill place by the rock wall on the lawn.
Suitable for anchorage in calm weather and when the wind blows from the N-NE direction.
Anchoring: Anchor towards the shore. There is a rock where you can secure yourself if needed just south of the pier (about 30m). A wedge is placed there.
A bit tricky to get a good hold sometimes.
The area: Beautiful island with a good view out to the fjord. Lovely sunsets and an idyllic place.
