Welcome to our club island: Ekholmen!
Ekholmen is our little gem of a club island, located just west of Stor Saxaren, Västra Saxarfjärden outside Vaxholm. Here we have nice jetties and a few buoys on the northeastern side of the island. A small sandy beach is located in the middle of the harbor, and at the northern entrance, a communal barbecue area with evening sun...

Our clubhouse on Ekholmen has a magnificent view of Västra Saxarfjärden and during the summer is hosted by various host families. There are possibilities for overnight stays in the Clubhouse and in the Little Cottage (members only). There is also a wood-fired sauna on the island, which cannot be booked. Guests pay a sauna fee to the clubhouse host. There is also a dance floor, outdoor toilet, and garbage station, but unfortunately, we do not have any water on the island.

Ekholmen is small enough that you can find your way around quickly, but at the same time large enough to easily find a secluded spot for a morning dip. Here you will find all types of nature: deciduous forest, coniferous forest, meadows and clearings, cliffs, and sandy beaches.

Ekholmen is maintained by us members, and the caretaker is responsible for the work. Members who have their boats registered with the Society have a work duty (which can be performed here or at the shipyard), and work weekends are arranged on the island every spring and autumn. During the opening and closing weekends, we have a communal dinner at the Clubhouse on Saturday evening.

On Ekholmen, all members with a registered boat dock for free, but visiting boats must pay a harbor fee.

Considering our high fee for garbage collection, we ask everyone (Vikings and visiting boats) to take their garbage (especially glass bottles) home and dispose of it there.
