Klaksvík is one of the 6 entry ports of the Faroe Islands; the others are Tórshavn, Fuglafjørður, Klaksvík, Vágur, Tvøroyri, and Vestmanna. It is the port of the second largest city in the country after Tórshavn. Be cautious when disembarking on the wooden pontoon, as it is very slippery. From May 1, 2024, the visitor's pontoon will have a fee (200 DKK/day from 1 to 10 days, and from the 11th day onwards, 500 DKK/day, water and electricity included). The approach down to Klaksvik takes you through the fishing harbor and industry on both sides of the fjord.

Good depth at the alongside quay, approximately 3.5 meters.

The harbor master is available by phone and is very helpful.
Electrical posts with special cards and water posts well-placed along the entire guest quay. Right up from the guest quay, there is a large grocery store with a good selection. The liquor store is about 1 km away. Small and pleasant town with restaurants and cafes.

Diesel refueling is possible. Refueling with a large white tank requires an Effo diesel card, the practical arrangements are handled by calling Effo directly.
