July 11, 2025, came in with a Viknes 1030. This is NOT a guest harbour.
A small floating dock with reserved signs 'all over'. So, don't count on getting a spot here.
Very nice fjord, very bad impression to come here with your own boat.
Moored for a few minutes at a route boat harbour to buy ice cream before we went back out. Lots of tourists, buses, and 'nobody speaks Norwegian', not even at the café.
Went back and into Flåm, where there are at least some guest spots.

maritime qualities
description
On the journey in, one gets a fantastic nature experience. It is magnificent and grand.
Small pier and quay, at least 3m deep from the quay and out on the eastern side of the pier. On the western side of the quay, it is not possible to dock. On the western side of the pier, it is at least 3m deep but it shallows quickly towards the shore. Traffic noise can be heard from the road. There is a café and a shop.

Want to know how the wind score works? Then you should read this explanation.
The wind forecasts come from yr.no (Norwegian Meteorological Institute), and was last updated 2 hours and 4 minutes ago (Saturday 12 July 06:27 AM). The next night score shows you the worst hour between 22:00 and 08:00 the next night. We recommend that you check multiple sources for wind forecasts. windy.com is a good website to show larger wind systems.
The safe directions for this harbour was added at 30. May 2023. Click here to edit.
Gudvangen, Nærøyfjord is surrounded by high hills or mountains. When strong winds come from the mountainous side there is a risk of turbulent or katabatic winds (also called "fall winds"), which may be rather unpleasant. In such conditions, you should not rely on the wind protection score for the coming night. Click to edit.
