Took this picture of the harbor facilities. Talked to the staff in the kiosk, and they confirmed that you can also dock as I have drawn.

description
Approach and maritime conditions: The harbour is located in the center of Helgeroa. The approach is as straightforward as it can be, with no shallows or hazards. There is good depth around the docks, but if you have a sailboat and a draft over 2 meters, avoid getting too close to the Southwest side.
Mooring: Alongside on the outside, mooring fingers on the inside. It is possible to anchor outside the guest harbour, on a sandy bottom. Many buoys mean you need to anchor quite far out, in 10-15 meters of water.
The area: If coming from the east, you pass Mølen and all the burial mounds. On the way into the fjord, you round Fugløya with its fortifications. Once you have rounded Fugløya, to starboard you will see Revet. This is where the Battle of Nesjar took place in 1016 between Saint Olaf and allied noblemen. On the quay, there is an artwork symbolizing this. Helgeroa was a ferry port to Langesund until 1961, when the Brevik Bridge opened. The Coastal Path passes right by the guest harbour and along Mølen to Nevlunghavn, a fantastic walk. It is also nice to walk towards Ødegården. The guest harbour is located in the middle of Helgeroa, where you will also find several restaurants and a marina in close proximity.
