We were just very rudely chased away from the floating pontoon by a young guy who apparently works for the harbour. He screamed at us that the floating pontoon is now private (2024) and is ONLY for the small fishing boats for tourists. There was no sign posted about this, so I didn’t understand why he was so furious and rude. The only place for visitors is now a rickety wooden wall that has only one ladder up (absolutely covered with slippery algae). This place is not recommended — it seems that they really don’t want visiting boats.

There is a large shallow on the starboard and port side if you sail in from Lyngenfjord. Follow nautical charts and cardinal marks and it will be fine.
