The fishing village Skipnes is beautifully located on Tindsøya in Øksnes Vestbygd.
The approach to this car-free island facing the open sea is well-marked, but it can be rough around Stø and Hovden.
Skipnes has a well-sheltered and pleasant guest harbor where you can dock at the quay or floating dock, with good facilities such as shore power, hot tub, sauna, and shower facilities.
We also offer laundry and drying services.
You will be greeted by friendly hosts with good knowledge of the place's history who can tell you about the Vesterålen coastal culture through 140 years. Especially about the women who built the community while the men were out at sea.

In the summer season, there is a pub and restaurant with full rights, and we serve local specialties such as our own produced Boknafisk, flavorful Fish Soup, Fish & Chips, Whale Steak, Pizza, and delicious Mydland sausages.
In the "Shop" you can buy breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as simple groceries and souvenirs, or just have a pleasant chat.
We are one of the few fishing villages in Northern Norway with preserved authentic fisherman's cabins.
In addition, overnight stays are offered in modern seafront cabins and a holiday villa.
We can offer tailor-made experiences in a package that includes accommodation for 60 people, dining, activities, and meeting rooms. We facilitate meetings, courses, conferences, weddings, anniversaries, family reunions, outings, etc.
Here the group will find peace and stay together.

The island has rich birdlife and a uniquely beautiful fauna.
The mountain Tinds Tinden is a popular and airy hiking destination that many take advantage of.
For those who do not like steep and airy mountain climbs, there are several well-marked trails on the island where it is possible to walk to Vinje, Jarbakken, Fagervold, or Handelsstedet Tinden.
When you come here, you will find peace, feel the good atmosphere, and sense that the place has a soul.
