The island has a quay and a floating dock. The houses on the island are managed by the City of Oslo. The two smaller houses are used by the inner eastern districts of Oslo, while the director's house is rented out as a coastal cabin during the summer months. Boats over 40 feet are not allowed to dock.
The quay is completely exposed to the northwest, and waves from tankers heading to Sjursøya. (Unfortunately, not all of them adhere to the speed limits in the inner Oslofjord.) Fend WELL and use long lines.
