This is NOT a recommended anchorage. There are lots of abandoned, derelict vessels, very difficult to navigate, no safe place to anchor, lots of vessel traffic from nearby boat rental club. The homeowners call the police (and they show up) when you are too close to their homes. Another boater said the city will begin enforcement of the new Florida anchoring laws next month.
I found a better option would be adjacent to the SR 518 Eau Gallie Causeway. There is a public boat ramp, and walking distance to Publix and other stores. Much more boater friendly!
